360 degree theatre that cuts to the core of contemporary Salford
"Happystorm have produced some of the
finest and most ambitious
plays to come out of Salford in recent memory."
Work for our next 'big one' is underway. We hope to announce the location and concept this summer.
To get our heads together and for some serious planning, we travelled as far as the Lake District (below) and as near as the Pint Pot, Salford Crescent (right).
To receive casting information as soon as it is released, you can sign up to our newsletter by registering on this site. This will include posts for directors and the creative team.

"Happystorm are becoming something of a brand where you don't need to know the details.
You just turn up expecting something off the wall and different.
They set up strange
scenarios and immerse you right in there."

After receiving some excellent applications from film directors in Manchester, Salford, London and New York, we've had an exciting few days reading through the proposals for our Short Film project and a difficult decision on our hands.
We are delighted to announce that CHRISTOPHER MATIC will be leading the crew of ten emerging film makers and a cast of up to fifteen prticipants through an intensive week to devise and film a 5-10 minute short.
We can't wait to see what they come up with!
This project has been funded by Big Lottery Fund, Comic Relief and Community Foundation.
We are very grateful for support from Eccles Shopping Centre and the University of Salford.
Thank you to everyone who applied with such a range of ideas and enthusiasm.
"Excellent one-liners, laughs and tears."
Lancashire Evening Post on The Myth of Escape

The Public Reviews on The Crypt Project
